# MiniWebtool API Agent Authentication

MiniWebtool API uses bearer API keys for agent and server authentication.
It does not offer OAuth: there is no authorization server, token endpoint, or scopes.

## Register

1. Create or sign in to a MiniWebtool API account: https://api.miniwebtool.com/billing/checkout/?plan=free
2. Verify your email address.
3. Open the dashboard and create an API key.

## Credential

Send the key in the HTTP Authorization header:

```http
Authorization: Bearer mwt_live_...
```

## What needs a key

- Free, no key: `GET https://api.miniwebtool.com/v1/tools?q=...`, the docs, and the MCP tools `search_tools` and `get_tool`.
- Needs a key: `/v1/tools/<slug>/run`, `/v1/tools/<slug>/dry-run`, `/v1/whoami`, and MCP `run_tool`.
